Some look friendlier than others.

All through Paris, memories of famous or anonymous people who lived there.

Temple

Near Metro Temple, the city has outlined on the pavement the towers of the Prison du Temple - now destroyed - where Louis 16, Marie Antoinette and their children were held after their arrest. Louis 16 was quickly sent to Place de la Revolution (Concorde today) where he was executed and Marie Antoinette was moved to la Conciergerie.

Beaubourg et Cafe de la Gare

I like the way Beaubourg (Pompidou museum) is peeking above the roof line of the Cafe de la Gare housed in one of the many mansions (hotels particuliers) of the Marais.

Clock at musee d'Orsay

The clocks at musee d'Orsay are beautiful.
You feel however that you are in a timeless space.

Verdeau

One of my favorite "passages" in Paris.
Don't you love these old store fronts in a time of steel, glass and exotic wood everywhere?

On my way to Paris

After a short period of rain we had this amazing sunset with rainbow.
I tried to get my camera against the glass to avoid reflection but then I decided I liked the image with reflection better. I think those white lines add energy to the image.

Light in Montmartre church

Many people go to the Sacré Coeur and ignore beautiful Saint Pierre de Montmartre, one of the oldest in Paris (with Saint Germain des Prés).
Stained glass is from the Lalique school.
