Notre Dame

Walking around your subject is always a good idea. I find Notre Dame much more attractive from the back, with the added dimension of the Seine and the Ile Saint Louis. You get more of a sense of place and space this way.

Invalides

When you go to Invalides make sure you look at details. There is a lot to see on top of Napoleon's coffin.

Institut du Monde Arabe

Love the shapes and patterns here. This is actually a color image even though it appears to be black and white.

Pont Alexandre III

I liked this image to begin with but I had to "play" with it in photoshop. I desatured all colors except for yellow (GOLD) and used a filter to give the photo a newspaper quality.

Fontaine at Saint Sulpice

I liked this image but something was bothering me. I flipped it 180 degrees in photoshop and ended up correcting what was troubling me.

Paris evening sky

If I look long enough through the view finder (or through my imaginary view finder) , I will end up with "creations" that barely ressemble reality. If I find the image pleasant I will just go ahead and click. I love this image.

Barges on the Seine

This view of Paris reminds me of a peaceful country town. Hard to imagine that millions of people live here and that Paris is the most visited city in the world!

The Abbaye de Royaumont near Paris is well worth a visit. Lots to photograph: landscape, architecture but also shapes and patterns.

On a cool day, I enjoy taking photos indoors.

Perspective

OK. This is not Paris but I love this image. I find it a lot of fun. When standing at the right spot it looks like the Taj Mahal can be picked up like a big Xmas ornament.
Friend on the photo is Shani and since we all took the same photo with each other's camera, I am not even sure that I took this one. But I have a similar one somewhere.
